NARAYAN SHRESTHA

Narayan Shrestha is an accomplished businessman and philanthropist. He owned several successful businesses including 8 restaurants, stores, and a travel agency.

Through his non-profit organization Helping Hands Health Education, Narayan has built in Nepal a 100-bed community hospital and 4 fully equipped clinics, as well as a school with 55 teachers and 900 students. Narayan has been featured in various newspapers and magazines, news channels and a documentary.

Additionally, Narayan Shrestha has received numerous awards for his humanitarian work.

Narayan also helped organize and guide the first Sister City delegatory trip in November 2022.

MICHELLE BATEY

Michelle Batey and her husband Phil are long time residents of Superior moving to the Town in 1998. She has previously served as the Executive Director of the Superior Chamber of Commerce and President of the Eldorado K-8 PTO.

Michelle Batey has served as a contract lobbyist for the Colorado County Clerks Association since 2011. In her role, she advocates for her client on elections, motor vehicle and recording policy positions. Michelle has assisted in the drafting of numerous legislative bills including major election reform in 2013 and legislation updating real estate recording systems across Colorado in 2016. In addition to her role as a lobbyist, Michelle also serves as Executive Director of the Electronic Recording Technology Board. To date, the Board has distributed over $10 million in grants to 49 counties to develop, maintain, improve, replace or preserve land records systems in Colorado.

Michelle was also part of the first Sister City delegatory trip to Nepal in November 2022.

ALLISON CIOTH

Allison Cioth has resided in Superior, CO with her husband Alex and four children since 2000. She grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where she earned a degree in Business Economics. She obtained a CPA license and spent many years in corporate accounting positions.

Allison currently serves as Controller for Claremont Foods, a contract food manufacturing company that she and her husband founded 10 years ago. Allison and her husband are enjoying becoming recent empty nesters.

STEPHANIE SCHACHT

Stephanie is a longtime Superior resident and avid adventurer. When she’s not skiing the slopes of Copper Mountain or otherwise enjoying the great Colorado outdoors or traveling the world. But, her greatest passion is spending time with her three wonderful children: Emma, Grace, and Nate, as well as her granddaughter Harper.

As an estate planning attorney, Stephanie has helped countless people leave a map instead of a mess for their loved ones. She also serves as an ambassador for the Superior Chamber of Commerce.

Stephanie was part of the first Sister City delegatory trip to our Sister City in Khandbari, Nepal in November 2022.

CAROL SHANNON

Carol Shannon and her husband Rob have called the vibrant town of Superior home since 2005. With a passion for personal growth, Carol thrives in her role at the University of Colorado-Boulder, crafting dynamic training programs that empower staff.

When she's not immersed in her work, you can find her channeling her zen through yoga or exploring Colorado’s stunning walking trails. Carol and Rob share a love for their furry companions, the breathtaking Colorado outdoors, and the thrill of discovering new cultures through travel.

STEFAN ELTERICH

Stefan and his family have been Rock Creek residents for 26 years. As avid travelers, they’ve visited places like South Africa, Bosnia, Croatia, and Italy (just to name a few favorites!)

Stefan’s career includes executive leadership in sales, marketing, and business development. He brings a strategic mindset and a passion for building high-performing teams.

He’s also committed to serving his community with a history of volunteering, from helping at an orphanage in Baja, Mexico to being a hut master for the Broome Hut in Grand County.

An outdoor enthusiast, Stefan enjoys the great outdoors with skiing, hiking, climbing, biking, kitesurfing, and overlanding.

KARA NEUSE

Kara served in the United States Air Force for 25 years and is a retired Colonel. She and her family first lived in Superior from 1999-2002 when she was an Air Force ROTC instructor at the University of Colorado. Six moves and several combat deployments later, Kara and her family made their way back to Superior in 2018. Kara grew up primarily in the Middle East and Europe, but she’s now lived in Superior longer than anywhere else. Superior is home. She’s happiest when she is exploring Boulder County trails. 

Kara serves on the Town of Superior’s Open Space Advisory Committee and a member of the Marshall Fire Memorial Subcommittee. Kara remains a mentor to those currently serving and those considering a military career. She’s also an active member of the Kennedy’s Disease Association’s planning committee.

STEPHANIE MILLER - Town Board Liason

Stephanie has been a resident of Superior for over 20 years. She was on the Superior Chamber of Commerce board for almost a decade and served as Board President during COVID and the Marshall Fire. After her years with the Chamber, she was elected to the Superior Town Board of Trustees in 2022, where she’s currently serving a four-year term.

An avid world traveler who visited all seven continents in one year, Stephanie’s passion for photography led to her photos being featured in publications like National Geographic, Lonely Planet, and The Washington Post.

Stephanie was also part of the first Sister City delegatory trip to Nepal in 2022.
